ScrapBerry's - Time Fies!

Hello Paper and ScrapBerry's friends!
Sharing with you a masculine card I made with the beautiful Words Live Forever collection.
The card would work great for Father's Day, Birthday or any occasion you like.

I started out with a couple of layers on the card with Tonight on Broadway and Memos. I got out one of my dies and used it with the 7th Street Library paper to cut out a frame. I used plain white card stock with a doily die. Fuzzy cut some pieces from the Postcards for Pennies sheet. Together with the gear chipboard piece I have all my layers sorted. Time to put it all together.

Stacking all the layers on top of each other makes the card come together nicely. Under the clock face I placed the ScrapBerry's - Wings. Although they're silver, I coated them to give it a  rustic look making it fit the theme of the card.
I hope you like the card!

Thank you for looking!

Blue Fern Studios Projects for May!

Hello Paper and Blue Fern Studios friends!

This month our new collection Happy Accident is a big favorite of mine. Love the designs and wonderful colors. To top it all off Blue Ferns Studios also created a Printed Chipboard sheet to compliment the papers. What's not to love.
Let's check out my first layout!

Beauty in Chaos

To show of these wonderful new Happy Accident Chipboard Pieces I created this layout. Whenever I create you should see my table. Yes you guessed it. Chaos. So I found this particular title perfect to make a layout with .

I started with the Halftone and London Chronicle stamps to create some interest on the Fate background page. Because the page already has circles on there I decided to keep up with that theme.

The Circle Group Pieces I embossed with Ebony and the Mini Ring Things with the gorgeous new Plum color. Perfect fit with this new collection. Now it's time to create my layers and started stacking. Having all the interesting parts pop out. The beautiful light green Late Winter Lily matched perfectly. To fine tune the look I added some thread, lace, I die-cut some leaves and some sparkle with the new Pea Soup glitter, some mists, beads and bling.
I hope you like it!

For my second layout I'm using an older collection, Paisley & Vine. Beautiful papers with gorgeous contrasting colors, details and even some abstract patterns.
When we visited Las Vegas I took photos of this statue that I wanted to use. The Metal trees surrounding it in the red is what made the decision to use this collection the winner.

I layer the Splendor, Passion and Pathway papers so the red just shows a thin outline.
With the Tattered News Print stamp I stamped randomly around the page. Now with one of my stencils I added some texture with paste.
The Bits of Honeycomb were embossed with Icicle, the Graduated Circle, leftover part from the Swirly Circle and Chesterville Doodle embossed with Speckled Mint with some Peacock Glitter sprinkled over it too. The leaves I've used on the layout are cut out Blooms & Stems stamp prints embossed with Fern.

Now that we have all the building blocks for our layout prepared we can put it together. For some layering under the photo I cut up pieces from the Playing Cards sheet. Using one of the cards as the title. Layering the chipboard pieces and placing the flowers including the Late Winter Lilies to finish of the layout.

ScrapBerry's - Happy Times!

Hello Paper and ScrapBerry's Friends!

It's May and at ScrapBerry's we're having a new Challenge, it's a about Family for the next 2 months.

Since we're celebrating family, I've decided to do a layout with a couple of pictures with my kids and their cousins. Boy, I remember this photo-shoot and having 4 little kids between one and four. It's quite hard to keep that in control, but so much fun. The end result was so great.

The collection I've used is Words Live Forever.
For the background I've used a plain sheet of paper. I chose a doily stencil and paste to create some texture. After it dried I got out some of my mists and with the 3 chosen colors I created a colorful back splash.

I used one of the panels from the Archive & Abacus Sheet and started building my layout on there. Using lots of the fuzzy cuts form the Tonight on Broadway and Postcards for Pennies papers.

This collection gives a nice and classic feel to any layout you like to create. Perfect, seeing this particular photo-shoot was more then 20 years ago. How time flies.

All I added to all my layers was a ScrapBerry's - Metal Clock, a Chipboard piece and some die-cuts. Some final ink splatters and the layout is finished.
I hope you like it.

Thank you for having a look!

Have a great day!
