Love!

Oh my, look at that little cutie! How time has flown by. She's 20 now and on this pic, she was only 20 months old. Not quite 2. Already such a person in her own right, who knew what she wanted. Just as she does now. So proud of her!

I made this layout for the Mojo Monday Challenge at Flying Unicorn last week. Just a little late posting it. It's been one of those weeks that there is constantly things happening and just not enough time in the day.

The Paper used was from this Months kit from Flying Unicorn. BoBunny. The Stencil - 13 @rts, Flowers - Prima & Wild Orchid. And some other old bits and peices from my stash.

I should do that more often, use more of my old stash, hihi, the old stash pile is getting larger and larger because as most scrapbookers we just love all the new stuff, don't we and get stuck with not using all the older stuff and that just sits there gathering dust. Maybe they'll do a challenge soon and I'll have to, that would be fun! ;)

Thank you for looking! Wishing you all a happy scrappy weekend!

Happy - You're my Sunshine!

Hello all my paper friends, it's weekend and lets hope we can enjoy some good weather.
Of course most of us will be celebrating Fathersday as well. So for all Dad's out there, I hope you have a wonderful weekend with all your loved ones.

The layout I made was a nice challenge on the Flying Unicorn Forum.
You Are My Sunshine it's called and truth be told she is. This little girl is quite grown up now, and we're so proud of her.

The paper used is from Glitz. Mediums by Prima Marketing, Shimmerz & 13 @rts. Chippie by Blue Fern & Heidi Swapp. Flowers by Prima Marketing. Word stickers by Authentique.

Quadcard - for a birthday!

Here I am with another challenge I did for Flying Unicorn. The girls there come up with the greatest, most fun challenges. This one was by Michelle Frisby - Mrs. Frizz, how does she think of them. Awesome!

The pics show the card from every angle. The paper used is from Prima Marketing - Garden Fable, flowers are Prima too.

As you can see there are advantages to rainy weather, you get to do some scrapping. It does look like we're done with most of tropical storm Bill for now, so hopefully back to nice sunny weather!

Garden Fable Book!

Hello from a rainy Houston!
Don't think it's ever going to stop. I was just in time taking the photo's from my latest project when the downpour started.

I saw Delaina Burns show last week when she made this book and just knew I had to make one. It was so gorgeous. Below is my version with the Garden Fable papers by Prima Marketing.

Let's hope my next post will be coming from a sunnier Houston.

Think outside the Box~

Hello scrap people! It's almost weekend  and I've not done a whole lot of scrapping this week, the one layout I did do, I'm seriously happy with. As so often is the case with me I found my inspiration on the internet. The paper and mediums used on this layout are 13 @rts. Tittles are 7Dots, Flowers are from Prima Marketing and Petaloo. Bling is from Prima Marketing.

This week this little kitty joined our household. Wesson (from Smith&) Armstrong (turns out he's a uni-baller) is his name. I'm quite certain his cute little face will find it's way onto my scrapbook pages soon.

Happy scrappy weekend!

I Love right now!

This is a special occasion. I was asked to host a challenge at Flying Unicorn this month and it's such an honor.
The ladies there are always so supportive and ever since joining the forums there I've really learned so many more techniques. It's so much fun. Wednesday nights when they have the Ustream class it's almost like meeting up with old friends while watching one of the girls showing us how to make another masterpiece.

For my challenge I choose a two toned layout and below is the step by step process.
I started with punching the edges. To make them stand out some more I inked them.

I had some lace and to match the colors I used mist to color it, after letting it dry, I tucked it in under the edges.

To decorate the page I wanted to use some medium, one day checking out some sites online I came across this trick to color your paste quite subtlety  by putting some ink on top of your stencil before applying the paste, this way you work the color through it while applying.

It does look nice!

Once the paper is prepared it's time to assemble the rest of the layout.

It's been a lot of fun designing this layout and actually stop and taking pictures of every step. Something you normally don't do of course.
I hope you'll have a look at challenge and enter your own project. The RAK's are always a fun thing to receive at Flying Unicorn.
