Mixed Media Canvas!

These are my Mixed Media Canvasses I lifted after seeing the tute Gabriella Pollacco did for Shimmerz. It was so inspiring I had to try and make something like that too. Here art is so gorgeous. Although I did not have all the stuff she had, improvising makes it your own piece, right. I have to say I learned a lot from watching that. Layers upon layers upon layers. Photos don't always do it justice.
This form of art is something I'm not that good in, but I'm learning and hope to get better in. Thank you for looking!
Have a scrappy weekend!

Love!

Let me say I love the challenges at Flying Unicorn, they inspire me to no end. Does not mean that on a regular basis I get stuck. The ladies there are so talented. I wish one day I will be as good. Some days, I feel I'm getting closer. To totally loose it the next. Ha! Today was a good day. I think, although there is always room for improvement right!
Anyway this pic of my beautiful girl is of course pretty inspiring as well, proud Momma here!

The products I used for the layout are all Prima from the Butterfly line. SO gorgeous. The ribbon was in a kit and don't know what brand.

Thank you for looking.

Have a wonderful scrappy weekend!!

Bottle tag - It's 5 o' clock Somewhere!

This was such a cute challenge on Flying Unicorn! Wonderful way to personalize your gift when you have a house-warming or birthday. I have to say this little beauty has already found a new home. It was a lot of fun making it. Products used were Prima, some black Martha Stewart Lace, Tim Holtz tiny Alphas.

Thank you for looking.

Not so Quiet Moments!

Wow can't believe it's been so long since I up loaded some work. I've been a little under the weather. Still managed to do some work though.
Flying Unicorn had this massive sale with Easter and I just splurged. Love these Marion Smith papers, so much fun to work with. Lots of ways to play with them.
This layout was made with the help of a sketch for the Mojo Monday challenge at the Flying Unicorn Forum.
Materials Used: Papers-Marion Smith, Embellies-Prima, Flowers-Prima, Petaloo, Ribbon-Flying Unicorn.

Grow!

I hope y'all had a wonderful Easter. It was quite uneventful here. Hubbie just came home at the last minute. DS stayed at UH and we were not complete as a family. Never really got into the whole celebrating Easter big.
Did manage to do some craftng. Always fun!
The pictures scrapbooked here are of DD's birthday. She's growing up so fast. Twenty already and after this summer moving to some college to finish off her degree.
The Papers, flowers and everything else used is pretty much all Prima. The stencil used is by TCW.

Today the Best!

Another day another layout with the April Flying Unicorn KOM.
Just last weekend we had beautiful weather and we were able to use the pool spa for the first time this season. Obviously time for a pic and worth a layout.
Still liking the color combination of the blue and sandy beige!

Hope you all have a wonderful Hoppy Easter!

Hello! Grow where you are Planted!

This cute watering can was part of the Flying Unicorn KOM and isn't it the cutest.
The girls fro the design team there had so many cute examples. I had so much inspiration to go with.

For mine I wanted to do something different. Wanted to use the Prima - Forever Green Line since it just fitted the whole theme. I decided to cover the spout and handle with Graphite Texture Paste by Prima, and the body with paper. Glued on there with the tears visible. The rest of the decorations besides the raffia&string is all Prima products.

I think I've found my new brush holder, or might even double as a utensil holder for Easter. We have options, right! I'm very happy with the result and it's sure to brighten my day, when I look at it.

Thank you for looking! Happy Easter!!
