Hello Paper friends! Sharing with you the card I made using the sketch for the Prima November CAT Challenge. For this card I used the Rossibelle collection and chipboard pieces by Scrapiniec. 

I love doing these challenges and for a change I made a Save the Date card. 

The flowers are nice and shimmery and the clear stamp makes for a fun border.

ScrapBerry's - Christmas Wall Hanger

Hello ScrapBerry's and Paper friends!

Lydia here today with you showing a fun Christmas wall hanger using the ScrapBerry's-Once Upon A Winter collection. 

I started with a block of wood that I dry brushed with white heavy gesso. Once that was dry I went over it with a mint green acrylic. Not being too thorough, leaving some white spots here and there. After this I sanded some parts to create a weathered look. 

For the background I  used a die-cut that was the perfect size for a nice border and added a mat under it. I now had the basis for my winter scene. Time to start some fuzzy-cutting. The boy and the girl are so cute. I used some sisal for grass. Added a polymer bench and flower decorations and painted them.

Tucked in a couple of chipboard snowflakes so all in all a nicely layered project topped off with a nice silk ribbon bow. Everything covered with a nice dollop of snow and it looks like our cute couple is strolling through the snow.

This year is my 25th Anniversary and that's of course the perfect reason to go through some of my old wedding photo's to give it a new staging.

7Dots - November Challenge - Link

I started of with stamping and using a couple of stencils and past to create an interesting background. I love the 7Dots Studio collection packs because you have so much choice in creating a layered project. 

Part of the layering are these wonderful Snipart chipboard pieces and the title. I kept them as they were. The color scheme was quite simple.

For the flowers I chose a mixture of Prima and Petaloo flowers and kept it in the same colors.
A seambinding bow in the right color and we're almost done.

Some final splatters and the layout is all done!

ScrapBerry's reversed Canvas - Merry Christmas!

Hello ScrapBerry's friends.

Lydia here today, sharing a vintage themed reverse canvas with you. The canvas is 5x7 and I started of with using the ScrapBerry's Fairy Tale stamp and a Stazon Black ink to ink all the edges. Make sure your ink is completely dried before you continue.

Then I used a stencil and paste for some further details on the edges to grunge it up. Once all this was dry I picked out my colors mist and colored it. Some green, some pink, some peach.
I looked through the Winter Joy papers to create my winter scene and fuzzy cut all the pieces I wanted to use.

On the background sheet I gesso-ed some more snowflakes and started layering. For a vintage look I distressed the edges of the canvas.
Once all the paper pieces were assembled I glued in all the bows I had made with seam-binding. A mushroom cut in half worked wonderfully as an decoration tucked in a corner with the title. Some art-stones and snow and sprinkles to finish off the decoration and we're ready for Christmas.

I hope you like this vintage looking decoration.

A new month and new challenges to discover.  For November I was able to combine the Berry Blue71 Challenge with the More Than word Challenge.

Since this year is my 25th wedding anniversary I've been wanting to do a few of my wedding photos in a new setting. Of course they're very special to me. 

The 7Dots Cold Country paper collection is already a little bit older as and as you can see there is plenty of blue.

For my background work I used gesso, stamps, inks and crackle pastes. Building up the layering was mostly done with fibers, chippies and flowers. I had a lot of fun making this layout. 

Still one of my most favorite days.

ScrapBerry's - Merry Christmas!

Hallo ScrapBerry's fans!
This month we're having a fabulous challenge and the theme is Christmas!

We're not that far away from the Christmas season so we're starting it off with this fun challenge. 

For my layout I decided to use the Winter Joy collection. It's a gorgeous Vintage look. One of the sheets has all these gorgeous old photos on them and I used them for it. 

For the background of the paper I used a 13@rts stencil and paste for some texture. I also went around the paper with ink to create a vintage look. Using cutouts from the Winter Joy collection and chipboard trees to create part of my layering.

I embellished my creation with ScrapBerry's flowers and some Petaloo's to compliment the layout. 

Tying a shabby chic bow on top of the tag for a perfect look 

The stars need an extra bit of sparkle, so I sprinkled them with some silver glitter. Some finishing touches like the enamel brads, ribbon and splatter inks and the layout is all done!
